21 Acres m/l, land for sale in Decatur County, Iowa

This 21+/- acre piece of Southern Iowa ground has just about everything for someone looking for an affordable weekend retreat. The majority of the farm is made up of a mix of oak hardwoods and a creek borders the property on the West. Whether you enjoy whitetail or turkey hunting, want a private camping spot with the family, or like spending some time next to the water, you’ll find those opportunities here. The whitetail hunting in this part of the state is especially good, and with the large block of timber adjacent to the large ag fields, this property has all the makings of a killer small tract hunting property. The well used trails and massive thigh sized rubs are evidence of the whitetail using this timber, and a large tower blind is already in place. Some of my most cherished memories are from early childhood hunting trips with my dad and uncle. The stories told and time spent bonding in those deep hardwood hills of Missouri surely left an imprint on me. My passion for Whitetails and the outdoors only seemed to intensify as I moved first to Kansas and then finally here to Iowa in search of the hunting opportunities I longed for. It only took one short visit to know this would be the place my wife and I would raise our kids. In 2012, I was fortunate to land a position with Pioneer Hi-Bred, which gave us the chance to make the move. Shortly after, I transferred my Kansas Real Estate license, and began working for Mossy Oak Properties in early 2013. Since then, I have been very blessed to meet and work with numerous farmers looking to divest some land, families looking for a place to build their dream home, and even a few hardcore bow hunters like myself who are looking for a place to call their own. In every case, it has been an honor and privilege to work with such great clients. While it is not an endeavor to take lightly, buying or selling land should be one of the most exciting opportunities of your life. It’s a new chapter that requires diligent work to ensure your goals are met. If you are looking to buy or sell some land in Iowa, I would love to earn your business.
